Dear All,
Please do the following homework for this week:
1. Review the new words of 屈原 for the quiz next time. Since five of us will go to Seattle to participate in the Chinese competition next Sunday, we will have the quiz on March 30 instead.
2. Do Workbook exercises Thur-Fri.
3.Only half of you did the homework last week. Those who didn't do the homework last week need to make up for that. Please refer to my previous posting for more details.

Orchidarium、
Misthouse
;Orchidarium
Misthouse
A
Land of Plants
Singapore has a really extraordinary
plant garden. It is called the Botanic Gardens.
The main attraction of the Botanic
Gardens is the National Orchid Garden. It is located at the mid-western side of
the gardens. It has more than 1000 species and 2000 hybrids of plants! The
seeds of the first plants came from a place called Kew in 1877. The orchid
consists of Burkill Hall, Orchidarium, Tan Hoon Siang Misthouse, and Lady Yuen-Peng
McNeice Bromeliad House. The Burkill Hall is a museum that shows you most of
the flowers and where the name is from; the Orchidarium are buildings that they
put plants in a tropical setting; the Tan Hoon Siang Misthouse has the fragrant
of the hybrids; the Lady Yuen-Peng McNeice Bromeliad House is where the people
keep the plants of the Bromeliaceae family, which includes pineapples. The garden also has some rainforests.
The Botanic
Gardens are an amazing sight to see!
